During the 5th International Conference on Green Chemistry and Sustainable Engineering (GreenChem-22), Eva Salgado presented an orla communication entitled “Microalgal cultures for the bioremediation of effluents with different nitrogen to phosphorus ratios”
This conference took place in Rome, Italy from 20th to 22nd July 2022.

Researchers from the PIV4Algae project attended the conference “13th IWA Specialist Conference in Wastewater Ponds and Algal Technologies (WPAT22)” and presented two posters.
Ana Esteves presented a poster entitled “PIV4Algae project: development and testing of innovative photobioreactors“. And Eva Salgado presented a poster entitled “Microalgal cultures for the bioremediation of urban wastewaters in the presence of siloxanes”
This conference took place in Melbourne, Australia, from 3rd to 6th July 2022.

Aiming to disseminate the project’s main results, PIV4Algae team organised a webinar on the 6th and 14th of June, 2022 for high school students.

During the Algae Europe conference, Ana Esteves presented a poster entitle “PIV4Algae project results: Bioremediation of wastewater from different sources using microalgae“.

Ana Luísa Gonçalves, researcher from PIV4Algae, was one of the 4 women scientists distinguished by the 16th edition of the L’Oréal Portugal Medals of Honor for Women in Science. This award is intended to recognise her work that aims the use of microalgal cultures on nitrogen and phosphorus removal from industrial wastewaters and also the valorisation of the produced biomass as a potential feedstock for pigments, bioenergy and biofertilisers production.

Researchers from the PIV4Algae project attended the conference “2nd International Meeting on New Strategies in Bioremediation Processes (BioRemid)”. The work developed within PIV4Algae project was presented in three posters.
This conference took place in Porto, Portugal, on the 24th and 25th October 2019.
